Premier Personnel’s Medical Benefits Services

Employers are also required to limit the amount of premiums some employees pay as a percentage of their wage income.  For example, health plans are considered “unaffordable” if workers earning less than 400 percent of the federal poverty level (about $46,680 for an individual) are required to pay a premium that is more than 9.5 percent of their income.

Variable-hour employees are eligible for benefits if they work a minimum of 30hrs a week or total hours worked accumulate to 1,560 hours within a year.  The ACA fulltime employee definition differs from the 40-hour per week full-time eligibility requirement that many companies currently use.  Employees who are hired as full time employees, are required by the ACA to be offered medical benefits at their 90-day eligibility, not based on the elected eligibility period established by the employer.

As the ACA continues to evolve, the complexity in managing and meeting its requirements can become burdensome and costly.

PREMIER PERSONNEL’S comprehensive service model addresses your concerns as the employer and minimizes the financial impact on your bottom line.
